Dear Parents,
In math, both grades have been working on decimals.  Grade 4's are working on decimals up to the tenths column, and the grade 5's are working on decimals up to hundredths.  I have found an interactive website for students to play a game where they will be ordering decimals.  This activity will be played at school, and can also be played at home.
A way in which you could help your child with decimals is to relate it to money.  While you are out shopping, look at prices with your child and compare prices of different products and have your child identify which price is lower and which is higher.
